CHANEL

For as long as I can remember, I've loved Chanel. Maybe it's because it was the first designer label I had ever heard of when I was small. Maybe it was the glossy images I saw in magazines as a teenager, or the No5 perfume my grandmother had on her vanity, or that time I found a heavily-worn vintage Chanel purse at a thrift store and clutched it to my chest like a prize. Chanel has always represented the ultimate luxury fashion house to me, and has always put out my favorite runway shows to pour over online, staring at the beautiful pieces. So when Chanel invited me (little ole me!) to come experience their Spring /Summer 2018 Haute Couture Collection in person in New York - I knew I had to go.

BEST FACE FORWARD

The holiday season can take a toll on a lot of things - your healthy eating plans, your wallet, and even your face. All that extra food and drink, colder weather, and rushing around can mean limited time spent on your skincare routine. That was definitely the case for me this year - I spent a lot of days running around with last minute shopping and planning, and spent several night staying with family - which for me meant forgetting to pack key skincare supplies, and more than one night of falling asleep with makeup on. Oops.

NOMADE

Last year I traveled to Paris to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of ChloƩ's iconic fragrance. And with the release of their latest scent, Nomade, I was inspired to travel to a completely different landscape.

6 PURCHASES THAT HAVE MADE MY LIFE EASIER

Alright, so as a blogger, a lot of the time I pop onto my site to express to you my love of a new piece of clothing, a purse, makeup, or skincare. You know, the fun stuff. But when it comes down to it, not all of my purchases are clothing / beauty related. In fact, some of my current favorite things in my life at the moment have darn near nothing to do with fashion. A few of them are tools I've picked up to up my blogging game, and a few have just made my life easier. Scroll down to see what they are!

THE PROBLEM I HAVE WITH BLOGGING

Much like with my post on how I got started as a blogger, this is a post I've been wanting to write for a long time. This is one that has been sitting in my drafts for months, waiting to go live. But the main reason why I've hesitated on pushing that little 'publish' button? Fear. Fear of alienating others in the blogging world, fear that I won't say the right things, fear that maybe it's not my place to even say anything to begin with. But to be honest? There are some major problems I have with the blogging community.

SNEAKERS (FOR THE GIRL WHO DOESN'T LIKE SNEAKERS)

This may be an unpopular opinion, but for the most part? I don't like sneakers - on myself. I see other girls wearing them, and sure, I love how they style them, but for the most part, sneakers don't have a big place in my wardrobe. Until recently.

To clarify - I do own a few pairs of Converse All Stars, and have worn them over the years, but usually just on days where I know there will be a lot of walking. Disneyland, flea markets, even camping. And while I do like them, they tend not to be shoes I reach for when I'm planning an outfit based on anything other than lots o' walking. Again, I see other girls wearing them and looking cute as ever, but for me, I wanted something just a little different.

SUNDANCE PACKING LIST

If you're anything like me - you're all about attempting to pack light. But since I'm a blogger and travel means shooting multiple outfits, packing light can be tricky. For my upcoming trip to Park City Utah for the Sundance Festival I've done my best to narrow down what I bring and to eliminate checking a bag. Below are all the things I'm packing with the exception of thermals, undergarments, and my toiletries - basically all the fun stuff. Scroll down for direct links to everything.
