I've written, and re-written this post a few times, so bear with me. I wanted this really succinct wrap-up for 2016, a sort of reflection on everything that's happened this year - but for some reason the words wouldn't come. Usually I'm able to type out a blog post in under 30 minutes, but last night, while sitting on the couch alone, I couldn't decide what to say or how to say it.

Originally, I wanted to talk about this past year. 2016 was a year of huge change for me. It was my first year not working a 9-5 job. I entered the new year with not much money in my bank account, but hopeful that things would change and get better. And they did. I worked more this year as a blogger than ever before - I got a manager for my blog (G&B Management, what uppppp) and was able to take on fewer but better partnerships for my blog. I was able to start working with companies that I has always dreamed of partnering with, and I was able to find my voice as a blogger.

I got to work more as an actor this year - my first passion and love. I auditioned, I memorized 13 pages of dialogue for a callback, I came DAMN close to getting a lead in a huge feature, and then I didn't. And that was hard for me - I've gotten so good at accepting rejection as an actor, because that's what it is about 99% of the time. I audition several times a week, and am lucky to book a few projects a year. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but for an actor, it's not a bad track record. I filmed two TV shows this year, and have vowed to work on a film in 2017.

I got married this year. I planned a wedding with my best friend, and while it was stressful at times, it was the perfect day for us. We did our best to not spend a lot of money, and mercifully succeeded. We spent what some people spend on just the dress (ok, a fancy dress, but still) and were able to take the honeymoon we had dreamt of - a road trip through the US. It solidified our marriage, and proved that we are in fact, great travel buddies.

And speaking of travel, this year I traveled more than ever. New York, Costa Rica, Paris, London, and more places in between. Travel has always been a passion of mine, but finding a way to combine that love with work has been heavenly. It means that I can not only see the world, but be able to document it as a blogger, and I cannot tell you how excited this makes me. I'm already planning more trips for next year, and can't wait to share them with you.

Which brings me to you. You reading this - you're the reason I had a hard time writing this. Because I couldn't find the words to thank you. Without that person scrolling past my Instagram or reading my blog, none of this would be possible. I am forever indebted to you, my reader, and could't do any of this without you. I am continually blown away by kind comments, incredible travel suggestions (let's be real, you guys practically planned our honeymoon), and the simple fact that you even care at all about what is going on in my weird life.

I wrote a lot more on this - many mushy sentences about what you guys mean to me, but have decided to simplify it all to this : Thank you. You're the reason why I do what I do - thank you for following along and being a part of my life.
