Wisconsin

What a week! Last Wednesday I headed to Wisconsin for the first time with my boyfriend, Eric. We were headed to a wedding on his family's side, so our days there were fairly busy - but we both had a great time. We stayed at his parents house (where these photos were taken) and I gotta say - the Midwest has California beat as far as houses go. We passed neighborhood after neighborhood filled to the brim with darling houses and big open yards. Talk about real-estate envy.

There was a lot of family to visit and meet while we were there, so I got a chance to see a little bit of everything. I even got to do some veryyy Wisconsin things; like go to a Friday Fish Fry, try cheese-curds (ah-mazing), and go to some local breweries. We were also lucky enough to slip away one day and hit up a few Antique malls. Once again, I was in heaven. Why-oh-why can't there be more Antique malls like that out in California? Plus the prices are sooo much better!

This outfit is what I wore on a day that wasn't too busy. We visited some of Eric's family, and then went out for a perfect dinner next to a frozen lake. I de-wrinkled this dress as best I could from my suitcase, and put on some back-seam stockings. Lately I've been drawn to this very late 40's early 50's wiggle shape. I'm normally a skater dress kind of girl, but more and more I like dresses that hug my hips a bit more. I found this one on Etsy and fell head over heels. It has seals all over it! I love a good novelty print, so I snatched this one up.

Plus I got a rare chance to photograph Eric, instead of the other way around. He's always so helpful and such a good sport about taking my blog photos. He's got it down to a science at this point, and doesn't mind how often I make him take extra photos. He's the best. Hope you all are having a great Monday!
