Go Team!

I've been very lucky this year as far as traveling. It's one of my favorite things in the world, but I'm usually limited to roadtrips within California. But, my work and my life have taken me to Ohio, Missouri, Illinois, and Wisconsin as of late. Parts of the US I've never been to before. And somehow, in each place, I managed to sneak away to do some antiquing.

I found this incredible jacket the last day that I was in Ohio. Like I was about 2 hours away from having to get on a plane, but happened to find an Antique mall near the airport. Score. I was devastated by the amount of amazing things I found that I had no hope of fitting into my carry-on. But when I spied this jacket from a local school in the 50s, I knew it had to come home with me. I was just gonna have to wear it on the plane!

Letterman jackets have been steadily gaining popularity, and while current jackets have variations like denim, and leather, this old-school wool jacket struck a real chord with me. The name DAN is embroidered on the front, and I like to imagine what the guy who owned this jacket was like. Was he a rebel? A good kid? Star athlete? Who knows, but it's fun to think of.
