Pardon the almost exact repeat of the same outfit I wore last week, but I can't help it! I am in love love love with this vintage dress. I have spent so much time combing etsy ever since, hoping to find a similar shape, and a fun print like this one. I love novelty prints, and this shape is just so easy and flattering.
I wore this outfit to the Hippy Killer Bike Show out in the middle of nowhere this past weekend with my ladies Tulani and Sadie. As soon as we arrived, I realized I had made a huge mistake in footwear choice. The "parking lot" was some of the softest dirt/dust I'd ever stepped foot in. Or rather stepped ankle in, since I sank so far with each step. I love my Swedish Hasbeens, so seeing them buried in dirt was giving me some serious anxiety.
The show itself was fun, full of bikes, beers, and tats. A lot of me wanted it to be like an episode of Sons of Anarchy, but since there was no Jax in sight, I had to give up that dream, and stroll around with a whiskey-gingerale admiring all the dogs there. Truthfully, at every show and outdoor things I end up at, I spend much of my time ooh-ing and ahh-ing over all the random dogs there. Old habits die hard.
My favorite part of the whole day was helping dig a car out that got stuck in the dust, followed by pulling over to shoot some photos in this random weed-filled field. We got there right as the sun was setting and had just enough light to shoot the jumping shot (below) and a few others.
And you'll be happy to know that my Swedish Hasbeens scrubbed up just fine.
