Back to Pioneertown

I think it's safe to say, Pioneertown is one of my favorite places in the world. It's a little cowboy town (former film set from the 40s) nestled in the desert of California. The whole area is dotted with Joshua Trees, and the weather is almost always sunny and clear. I went there with my two close friends (Tulani and Sadie), and we had a great time poking around the little town.

We've gone to Pioneertown a few times together, and it never disappoints. We stopped into the local bar, Pappy & Harriet's for an afternoon drink, and then walked around the dusty main road, stopping to pet a few horses in the corrals. It was a bit of an unplanned trip, but somehow I managed to be dressed the part of a dusty cowgirl. Denim on top of denim, with a side of leather boots. I scored these amazing Frye boots on Etsy (from this shop) a few weeks back and have been wearing them a ton. So comfortable, and easy to make an outfit out of.

And now, just looking at these photos has me itching to go back. Maybe not necessarily to Pioneertown again so soon, but perhaps Palm Springs? Who knows, weekend adventures are what I live for.
