I had a super successful week of thrifting, and just wanted to share this lovely faux-fur coat with you. I do love real fur (guilty pleasure, I know), but I also recognize that it can be a very cruel industry. So when I can find a great faux-fur, and a vintage one at that, I'm especially excited. This particular coat is faux mink from the 1960's - it's super soft and in incredible shape. Something about a coat like this makes me especially wish I lived in the 60's. I love statement coats, and the 60's certainly did them right.
On a side note, I had a crazy weekend. I was supposed to travel by bus to San Francisco, but last minute couldn't go. My friends and I decided to save money, stay local, and go on an adventure. The adventure ended up lasting for 3 days, and took us to Palm Springs, the Salton Sea, the WigWam motel, and even up to the snow of Big Bear. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me (or a change of clothes, or a toothbrush), but I will post some of my phone pics for you to see.
