One of my favorite things about running a blog is that it allows me to wear things I otherwise might be too shy with. What might be a little costume-y or different can make perfect sense on a blog. And, once I become okay with something being "blog appropriate", it allows me to wear it outside of my blog.
Like this dress - at first I didn't know what to do with it. I thought it might be too girly and too child-like, but I decided to give it a chance. And I'm so glad I did! I love the way this outfit turned out, sort of like the Alice in Wonderland meets the Queen of Hearts (wait a minute, they did meet). And while it is a *bit* on the short side, I slipped some opaque tights on and called it just dandy.
And just to give it a little more cutesy-ness (is that a word?), I added my red Swedish Hasbeens from Modcloth! Has anyone else here ordered from Modcloth? This was my first time, and I can't even tell you how cute the packaging was - it came in the most darling cardboard box with a little house pattern on it. Love it. And while these shoes are proving a bit tough to break in (my ankles are complaining as I type this), I feel certain they will become my favorite shoes.
